The Tesla comes out screaming, but loses it’s charge after 55 miles of competitive driving and has to spend 16 hours plugged-in. Handling was considered a bit sluggish due to battery weight, and there was a lot of road and wind noise – but Top Gear’s Jeremy clarkson was impressed by the 0-60 acceleration in 3.9 seconds. Considering also that it is 6X more energy efficient than the average sports car, there is good indication that Tesla CEO Elan Musk on the right track.

Still the review must be tough news with Tesla CEO recently claiming to need a government bailout of 350 Million to continue production of the fuel saving sports car. Although tax payers are scratching their heads as to why a car for rich guys (109k that’s all who can afford it) needs such a hefty tax credit.

Looks like Will.I.Am has picked up a Tesla Roadster and has dropped it of to George and the dope crew over at Platinum Motorsport. Now for those of you who don’t know, the Tesla is an uber expensive electric sports car straight out of Silicon Valley. The Tesla runs just over 0,000 dollars but wastes no gas and is sporty as shit! I haven’t gotten to ride in one but I’ve been watching them for a while. As of right now there have only been about 25 delivered so that fact that Platinum Motorsport has the opportunity to go at this thing is huge!

As for Will’s photo shoot with the red Tesla from DUB Magazine, that car was pre-production cars used for the shoot… this one below is his car!

Audi S4 Gets Supercharged V6

The Audi S4 turns to be a better all around car now and the V6 engine under its hood is far from being a downgrade. Physics do not lie as it stands witness to the car’s road performance.

The new V6 Audi engine runs at maximum 24.psi giving out 333 horse power when revving at 5500 rpm. The number is 11hp down from the third generation S4 which has a 4.2L V8.

You will not miss the two cylinders as the car has an excellent 22 lb-ft torque more, surpassing its predecessor. Running the engine between 2900 and 5300 rpm, it registers a striking 324 lb-ft torque. With these figures, it is evident that the 1.2L of displacement given up does not compromise the performance of the Audi S4.

The new version of the S4 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.1 seconds, 0.8 seconds slower than the older generation. At fourth gear, it muscles its way from 50 to 75 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds which may be considered as a real road test when you need that power on the road.

The top speed is said to be 155 mph with issues not being forced to its cut off of 7000 rpm. The power is distributed to its four wheels following the Audi production tradition.

The numbers are achieved with better fuel efficiency tabulated at 27% as compared to the V8 of the old S4. The fuel rating for the S4 with the V6 engine is highly remarkable at 24.9 mpg.

Buyers may opt for the sedan or the wagon type. Any choice will be assuring satisfaction, aesthetic and performance wise. Audi scores!

Apparently keen to oust the Bugatti Veyron from its lofty perch, Aston Martin is poised to deliver a limited-production supercar that may prove to be the world’s most expensive. Priced at a cool £1 million (about .5 million, at current exchange), the car—code-named One-77—will debut next year as the supreme expression of the Aston Martin brand, with a low-slung shape that merges traditional styling cues with the British automaker’s evolving design language. The One-77 (a “working title,” says Aston; expect the production car to carry a more evocative moniker) features a bespoke structure made of stiff, lightweight carbon fiber composite and a handcrafted aluminum body. The car will employ a version of the 6-liter V-12 engine in the DB9/DBS, enlarged to 7 liters and likely rated between 600 and 650 horsepower. Performance, doubtless, will be scintillating: The charge to 60 mph is expected take less than four seconds, and the One-77 will fly to a top speed in excess of 200 mph. No mere car, Aston is calling the One-77 “the world’s most desirable automotive art form.” Production, which is set to commence next year, is fittingly capped at a scant 77 units, with respective buyers expected to be intimately involved in every step of the process.
