Details of the 2011 BMW M5, which is rumored to have a twin turbo V10 engine with nearly 600hp under the hood, are slowly being revealed. This will be the first next generation M5, previous models ranged in horse power from 170hp to 480hp.

Larry King Lays Low Key in His Lincoln MKS

Sure Larry King is on national television every night but that doesn’t mean he is running around in sports cars. Turns out Larry is the laid back type of guy that prefers the modest Lincoln MKS.

Larry, I would have thought you would need a little more protection and would be rolling a bulletproof Mercedes Benz S-Class but either way, nice ride!

UPDATE: Turns out that Heidi was only shooting a commercial while sitting driver’s side in the at white Bentley Continental GT Convertible. As for the passenger, we’ll leave that one up to you!

Audi S4 Gets Supercharged V6

The Audi S4 turns to be a better all around car now and the V6 engine under its hood is far from being a downgrade. Physics do not lie as it stands witness to the car’s road performance.

The new V6 Audi engine runs at maximum 24.psi giving out 333 horse power when revving at 5500 rpm. The number is 11hp down from the third generation S4 which has a 4.2L V8.

You will not miss the two cylinders as the car has an excellent 22 lb-ft torque more, surpassing its predecessor. Running the engine between 2900 and 5300 rpm, it registers a striking 324 lb-ft torque. With these figures, it is evident that the 1.2L of displacement given up does not compromise the performance of the Audi S4.

The new version of the S4 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.1 seconds, 0.8 seconds slower than the older generation. At fourth gear, it muscles its way from 50 to 75 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds which may be considered as a real road test when you need that power on the road.

The top speed is said to be 155 mph with issues not being forced to its cut off of 7000 rpm. The power is distributed to its four wheels following the Audi production tradition.

The numbers are achieved with better fuel efficiency tabulated at 27% as compared to the V8 of the old S4. The fuel rating for the S4 with the V6 engine is highly remarkable at 24.9 mpg.

Buyers may opt for the sedan or the wagon type. Any choice will be assuring satisfaction, aesthetic and performance wise. Audi scores!

Audi’s high-performance RS models have come a long way since the storied debut of the RS2 Avant in 1994, but its mission remains the same: Steal the thunder of BMW’s M cars. To that end, the company is set to unleash its most fearsome RS model yet—the 2009 RS6 sedan, a car engineered with the singular goal of quashing Munich’s vaunted M5. The sedan (which joins an equally sinister RS6 wagon) features a 5-liter V-10 with a host of racing-derived modifications, including direct fuel injection, dry sump lubrication, and twin turbochargers. Belting out a startling 571 horsepower and 479 foot-pounds of torque, the engine meets a six-speed Tiptronic manu-matic transmission and, naturally, Quattro all-wheel drive. Sixty miles per hour arrives in about 4.4 seconds, and top speed is electronically governed to 155 mph—or, optionally, ungoverned to 174 mph. Visually, there’s no mistaking this über A6: Swollen fenders contain wide performance tires around unique 19-inch wheels (20-inch alloys are optional, as are Audi’s huge carbon ceramic disc brakes), and a restyled rear bumper accommodates a pair of gaping oval tailpipes.
